Coroner delays releasing the cause of death for Lisa Marie Presley’s
According to the Los Angeles County Coroner, a preliminary autopsy study did not reveal Lisa Marie Presley’s cause of death.
“After being checked on January 14, Presley’s cause of death was not determined. Deferred indicates that the medical examiner is asking extra research, including additional studies, because the cause of death has not been identified following an autopsy.
The doctor reassesses the case and determines the cause of death once the results of the tests or studies are in.” Speaking on behalf of the LA County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner is Sarah Ardalani.
The musician passed away last week after being admitted to the hospital for what seemed to be a heart attack. 54 years old.
A memorial service for Presley is expected to be attended by the general public on January 22 at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, according to a statement on the site.
An announcement on the website states that, “In lieu of flowers, the family urges all who wish to contribute something to do so in the form of a donation to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation.”
The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation supports initiatives for children in the Memphis area, as well as the arts, education, and other fields.

David Kessler, a grief expert, posted a picture of himself and Presley on his verified Instagram account over the weekend. He wrote that she had asked him to go with her to Memphis for her late father’s 88th birthday celebration days before she passed away.
She received a ton of invitations for the weekend, but for her, there were only three crucial ones: attending her father’s birthday party, visiting her son and father’s cemetery after the Graceland tours ended, and meeting with a mother who had recently lost a child, according to Kessler.
He said that Presley was actively involved in assisting others in coping with their grief, co-hosting grief support meetings for other bereaved parents at her house alongside him.
Graceland was her favorite spot, and the staff who all knew her remarked that she was looking so much better, according to Kessler, who wrote that their time there was “so much fun and she was optimistic.”
